IDR Job ID #354518. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Med-surg travel nurses are in demand and their skills are needed for assignments at hundreds of facilities across the country. According to the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN), “Medical-surgical nurses provide care to adults with a variety of medical issues or who are preparing for/recovering from surgery.
Travel nurses typically earn more than full-time salaried RNs because they often take job assignments where there is a nursing shortage. Travel nurse agencies also pay practitioners by the hour and offer additional benefits, including housing and meal stipends.
We prefer to reserve the term “travel nurse” for RNs, LPNs/LVNs and CNAs. We typically refer to the advanced practice nurses as “Locum Tenens” in order to keep with industry standards.
There isn't one specific degree you need to become a travel nurse – you can be a travel nurse with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
