Carries NBC for $80 a month
Professional football is back. The 2024 NFL season kicks off tonight with a rematch of last season's AFC championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs won that game in Baltimore and went on to capture their second consecutive Super Bowl championship.
The Chiefs and Ravens are expected to be two of the biggest heavyweights in the conference again this year, each led by a two-time league MVP quarterback in Patrick Mahomes for the Chiefs and the Ravens' Lamar Jackson. It'll be the first step in the Chiefs' quest to become the first NFL team to win three straight Super Bowls.
There's been no word yet on whether global superstar and Chiefs superfan Taylor Swift will be in attendance to watch boyfriend Travis Kelce, but she should have more free time during the first six weeks of the season. Swift doesn't resume touring until Oct. 18 when the second leg of her Eras Tour begins in Miami. In addition to preparing to head back out on the road, Swift hasdrawn up a few plays for Andy Reid and the KC offense, according to Mahomes.

This Week 1 NFL game sees the Chiefs host the Ravens starting tonight at8:20 p.m. ET (5:20 p.m. PT). The game will take place at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
How to watch Ravens vs. Chiefs
Although it takes place on a Thursday, this opening game is technically a part of NBC's Sunday Night Football package and will air on NBC and stream on Peaco*ck. After this week, Thursday Night Football games will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
